Design Standards

We aim to design to Triple-A Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0.

Structure of the Site

We have one set of pages for the whole site, which we aim to make accessible to all. We aim not to separate accessible and less accessible pages into separate sections.

Customisation

We have provided a menu with options to customise the website. The menu bar can be activated or deactivated on any page in the following two ways:

– By clicking on the blue and white symbol on the left of the screen.

– By pressing simultaneously ‘Alt + A’ on your keyboard

Content

We aim to use clear and plain English.

Where there is information from a source which is in another language, we aim to provide a summary in clear and plain English and direct visitors to the source.

Use of Cookies

Every user is informed about how the site uses cookies on their first visit. For more information read our cookies policy.

Use of Multimedia

We aim to label all images, and use images just where appropriate.

The size of the text and each page can be scaled. We set a maximum size for most pages, to ensure

lines are wrapped according to commonly accepted typographical rules.

Browser Support

There will always be small differences in the display between browsers, but we aim to broadly support:

  • Newer versions of Internet Explorer for Windows
  • Safari for the Macintosh
  • Mozilla Firefox for all platforms
  • Google Chrome for all platforms

Please notify us of any specific problems you encounter, or any suggestions you have for improvement. You can find our contact details here: www.visits4u.eu/contact-us
